Crowd Funding: A New Direction?

The Blue Whale is the largest animal on earth but lives almost exclusively by eating one of the smallest.  I wonder if this obscure fact holds any wisdom for modern business?  The new Job act could potentially change the way start-up investments and loans are made.  Suddenly, crowd-funding websites like "kick starter" and "Indiegogo" are receiving major press for their potential to jump-start the economy and finance small, or even large businesses.  The principle is simple.  Finding that "big catch" investor is a difficult and risky operation, but there are plenty of people willing to contribute a smaller amount toward a promising new product or service.

We at The HOMERprogram are investigating the potential of this new form of funding as a new way forward.  If you have been interested in small business investment, what does this mean for you?  Potentially, even a small investment could earn you a share in The HOMERprogram's early stages.  Stay tuned as we investigate further and keep moving forward!
